“लालसा” गुरुदत्त का एक गहन मनोवैज्ञानिक और दार्शनिक उपन्यास है, जिसमें मनुष्य की इच्छाओं, महत्वाकांक्षाओं और उनके परिणामों का सूक्ष्म विश्लेषण किया गया है।

इस रचना में लेखक ने यह बताया है कि ‘लालसा’ ही मनुष्य की उन्नति का आधार भी है और उसके पतन का कारण भी। जब यह नियंत्रित रहती है, तो जीवन का निर्माण करती है; और जब अनियंत्रित हो जाती है, तो विनाश का मार्ग खोल देती है।
